Two years married 🤍 Happy Anniversary to these Two years married 🤍 Happy Anniversary to these two brilliant women, C&B who trusted me with a place that already meant so much. McGrory’s Hotel is not a sprawling estate or a purpose built wedding venue. It is a pub and hotel in a tiny town on the Inishowen Peninsula. But for one of these brides, it was childhood summers, familiar faces and a family tradition carried through the years. And so instead of searching for somewhere “grand”, they chose somewhere true. We layered florals against well worn walls, brought candlelight into a function room more accustomed to modest gatherings and local celebrations, and gently transformed it into something magical. We reimagined the space without stripping it of its soul. The result was not just beautiful. It was personal. It felt like them. This is what I want my couples to know: Your wedding, or welcome dinner and farewell brunch, does not have to start with a blank canvas (although I love those too). It can begin with memory. A pub your family has visited for decades. A restaurant where you had your first date. A town your grandparents call home. A courtyard, a gallery, a garden that holds history. Luxury is not about postcode. It is about intention. It is about transforming somewhere meaningful into somewhere unforgettable. Happy Anniversary, my loves. Last week, at The Old Royal Naval College Annual S Last week, at The Old Royal Naval College Annual Showcase, spring arrived early. Mimosa climbed marble, gold glowed beneath frescoed ceilings, and @amieboneflowers staircase installation did more than welcome, it declared intent from the very first step! This showcase was a masterclass in scale, colour and, believe it or not, restraint. It proved that when vision is clear, even the grandest architecture can feel intimate. There was music in the air, movement in every moment, and a kind of joy that made even the quiet things sing. Who says you need a passport to channel another city’s energy? This vibrant editorial was captured right here in the UK(!), complete with a live brass band, modern lace and timeless joy, oysters shucked al fresco, and love that felt like jazz: spontaneous, soulful, and full of rhythm. This day was proof that destination feels can be created anywhere when design, music, and meaning align.
